Why I decided to give up on my retail job and am going for helping people instead...

Hi,Reader, and welcome to the 2 be Insidesign Newsletter.

It's been a while, and I don't know if you remember me, but most likely we met when I was helping you selecting at least one of the furniture pieces you have at home, or even with designing your whole space... It's been more than 15 years, welcoming clients in the stores and figuring out what their needs were, what their taste was, what else they had at home, etc, in order to be able to suggest the right pieces of furniture and accessories that could work with their existing furniture, while matching their needs. And while that was making me happy, I felt that each day I was being more and more driven by pressure (sales) and it was becoming less about the creativity and the meaning that led me to start my own BoConcept store 15 years ago. At that time, for me it was about giving people the house of their dreams at an affordable price, amidst the beautiful designs and functionality that the brand had to offer. But throughout the years, it became more about a manager position, where I had to deal with more pressure, numbers and logistics, instead of providing people with that value. I felt my joy was fading...

When I had to stay locked down in my small NY apartment in March this year, right after my birthday, I realized how lucky I was to have had only mild symptoms for Covid-19 (a lot due to having changed my relationship with food), and for being surrounded by an environment that was inspiring and making me feel good at home, so I decided to explore the home energy more. And that's when I discovered Feng Shui for health! Then I was presented with a chance to become a WildFit coach, and it made so much sense to me since I wanted to help other people to have the same amazing results I had, and to experience a life full of energy and health. So I put two and two together and founded 2 be Insidesign - this way I can take you on that journey of transformation and really help you with your INSIDE energy- through the body and the home. So now, I'm no longer just helping you to choose pieces for their aesthetics and looks, I am helping you working with existing or new pieces, by reorganizing the space, helping you declutter and most of all personalize the space to your energy, and if possible more natural materials. At the same time, by coaching you through the WildFit Challenge, I'm bringing you closer to our natural diet (Homo Sapiens), so that you'll get an energy that is more natural to you.

Why do I want to help people to do that? You see, I truly believe that we are all here to contribute with something. And with my extensive furniture experience, as well as my newly skills as an holistic nutrition coach for a program that has been proving success for years, I believe I can contribute by creating a lasting and impactful change in people's lives, for the better. And that's the mission of 2 be Insidesign... So I want to special thank Niki and Shaokao, who made me grow throughout working with them all these years and a to all of you, who have passed by my life at some point, contributing to the person I am becoming today. And if possible, I hope you can help with my dream of creating a better energy inside, for those who need - either if it's for you or through sharing to a friend who needs...

Feng Shui tips for the Holiday season

With the Holiday season, comes a time where we may have decorations like Christmas trees, and even Poinsettias around the house. But what are the considerations you should have, for a better energy in this time of the year (regardless what your religion stand points are):

1.About Christmas trees:

-If possible, use a natural tree. However, if you don't have the space for a normal tree (like me), you can still use a fake one as long as the energy behind it (the memories it brings, etc) is good, and you intend to reuse it for many years (for a sustainability stand point). I personally also don't like to see the trees piled up on the sidewalk after the Holidays season is done, so I prefer to have natural plants around and a fake tree, rather than dumping a living tree on the sidewalk. Like I said, it's the energy of the thought behind it that counts.

-Consider the colors you want to decorate your tree with and depending of the color, you can place it on the Gua that has those colors. For instance I had mine with red and gold this year so I moved it to the "Fame and Reputation" Gua of the living room. If you had white and silver colors you could consider to place it on the "Travel & Helpful People"or "Legacy and Future" Guas, and so on.

2.About the Dining area:

-This season is about gathering with our loved ones around a table... (the food industry made sure to get us to have those food traditions around what idea really? But that's another story for another time)... Depending on the Gua area of the dining/living where the table is, you can consider a color scheme to enhance that Gua. Another useful tip is to have a mirror facing the dining table or refrigerator, as that will enhance abundance in your life (food=abundance). Avoid a mirror reflecting the stove as that will enhance fires in your life.

Want to know more about how you could enhance the energy in your home? Now you can now schedule the "Inside Chi" Program with me. I'll work with existing and new furniture/accessories.

Phases of a Feng Shui project

A New Year, a New You

Want to start the New Year transforming your health?

Do you see yourself at least in one of these categories? - the person who:

  • is constantly getting in and out of a diet, without long lasting results, and putting more weight on, each time
  • is struggling with sugar cravings
  • is finding themselves eating the foods they know they shouldn't be eating
  • is constantly feeling low energy/brain fog periods
  • is seeing their health deteriorating- either by chronic illnesses or even by inflammation that is starting to affect the way they live
  • is afraid because they might fit onto that category of vulnerable people who are more likely to be affected by Covid-19
  • is lacking confidence because they gained a few extra pounds during lockdown (or possibly have been carrying extra weight for years)

Then you should be at least curious about WildFit and how it can change your life. And I am not talking about a 3 month change- I'm talking about lasting change... And I know it well, because it was like that for me and over 35,000 people around the globe. I could rave about Wildfit for many sentences here, but you can find all about it, by clicking below.

And I'm so excited to announce that I will be leading a new 90 Day WildFit Challenge on Jan 4th 2021, together with the World Wide Challenge. What it means to you is that you'll have an amazing and rare opportunity to be led on the 90 day Challenge, being coached by me, and the founder of WildFit- Eric Edmeades!

If I sparked your curiosity and you're interested in knowing if WildFit could be ta good fit for you, I would recommend to book an exploration call with me, where I will give you some valuable tips, as well as we'll see if we're a good fit to work on this together. Either way, I'll offer you options for you to start turning your health around, and you'll get something out of it, as my main goal is to help you.

When you book a free call with me, I'll give you an amazing tool for you to use when you go grocery shopping - "The 65 Hidden Names of Sugar"! So get your spot on, as I'm getting busier with the Holiday season!

I invite you to watch the true story testimonial of a client of mine who was type 2 diabetes, and see how she's so confident about not having sweets controlling her anymore, and about becoming a post-diabetic... I loved when she says the WIldFit 90 Day Challenge is something you should do if you love yourself, and how this was the best gift she gave herself... This can be your gift this season as well!

Warm wishes and happy Holidays,

Marcia Mendes
