Welcome to the Summer of Love in NYC

Hi Reader,

It seems like we finally have somewhat good news and NYC is finally really reopening. Yes, there were fireworks and everything - it is official... NYC is back!

Wether you have moved during the hardest times and just came back, or if you decided to stay all the way through like me, one thing is for certain, NY is not the same. The question is, do we really want it to go back to the same? I believe that now is the moment to rebuild it better than ever so, cheers to that!

In what many New Yorkers call "The Summer of Love", I hope we can contribute to a city where there's more love (and love is love 🌈), inclusion and equality.

"Feng Shui Practical case study: Balancing the Ch'i in a small Room"

New blog post on how to design a small room, and how Feng Shui can help you make the right decisions in terms of colors, lighting, shapes, etc.

(...) one of the challenges I had was with the 2nd bedroom area, where I have now chosen to use it as my multimedia / meditation / guest / office room. That room has barely any natural lighting coming through the window (very Yin), so it looks like it's always nighttime there. And so, I decided to honor that Yin energy in the room and use it for activities that are predominantly better suited in a Yin space - like an office and guest room. You need to concentrate when you are working, so unless I need some creative energy type of work, that's where I work from now.
But the room still needed some balance, as every room must have both Yin and Yang energies.
This room also falls into 2 areas in the Bagua: the "knowledge and self-cultivation" and "health and family" areas so I wanted to bring elements to enhance them. And on a less positive note, the Wealth area is missing in this part of the layout (luckily I have an extension Wealth area on my lower floor)."

My friend had a photo shoot in my apartment for her brand "Bodysuitsme", which turned out really amazing and if you are looking for some 4th of July deals, you should take a look at her stuff.

"Bottles to bricks: Lego finds the right fit with recycled plastic". Via Reuters

This really shows the commitment that more big brands are making into finding new materials, reducing their carbon footprint and looking for sustainable options that keep the quality of their products.

"Lego, which uses some 100,000 tonnes of plastic in its products each year, said it will use recycled material from plastic bottles that are certified as safe to handle beverages in Europe and the United States.
A one-liter plastic water bottle will yield about ten standard Lego bricks."

Jessie Itzler calls out Bayer for their "Flintstone" kids vitamin

Worth having a look at his Instagram post - Caption below:

"Dear Bayer,
What took you so long? You just decided to change your KIDS VITAMIN formula? While I’m glad you did …are you telling me with all the medical resources you have and doctors on staff that you didn’t know those vitamins were bad for kids?

For 52 years you have been TRICKING parents into believing Flintstone Vitamins are healthy and nutritious. It was on all your packaging. Meanwhile, they were laced with artificial flavors, synthetic colors, high fructose corn syrup and sugar. You knew. You invented it."

Cristiano Ronaldo rejects Coca-Cola and praises water

"Cristiano Ronaldo removes Coca-Cola bottles during a Euro 2020 press conference. CNN's Clare Sebastian reports." Via CNN business

Even though many are claiming that Coca-Cola lost 4 billion dollars of their market value after this press conference (which I don't think it's true), I am not sorry for their losses because... How many millions/trillions have they made at our health expense? And as a Portuguese, I can tell you a bit of the backdrop of this story. Cristiano Ronaldo is a high performance athlete that really takes care of what he eats/drinks and gives the example to his family. Apparently he got really mad at his son recently, because he drank some Coca-Cola at a kids party when he doesn't allow his kids to drink it. So yes, this snub was very real. And after all, his body is not made of Coca-Cola, for sure! But Γ‘gua (water), yes!

Reminder... you have the power to conquer back your health

... Always a timely reminder that reverting your health is possible, through changing your relationship with food - here's another testimonial (one of many diabetic people that improved their health dramatically, with WildFit).
